Azhimat Murzakanov Suspended for 180 Days Over UFC Anti-Doping Policy Violation

The announcement came today from the independent organization Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD), which oversees drug testing in the sport.

Reports reveal that Murzakanov tested positive for a low-level metabolite presence. Notably, in September 2017, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) had also flagged prohibited substances in Murzakanov's sample, resulting in a two-year suspension at the time.

Murzakanov’s most recent fight took place on August 3 at UFC on ABC 7 in Abu Dhabi, where he secured a knockout victory against Alonzo Menifield in the closing seconds of the second round.
