Pantoja is Ready for a Rematch with Figueiredo: "I’m Confident I Can Win"
UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja (29-5) shared his thoughts on a potential rematch with Deiveson Figueiredo (24-4-1).
“Honestly, a rematch with Deiveson is a fight I’m really interested in. Yes, he beat me once, but I’m 100% sure I can take him down this time,” Pantoja said.
However, he noted that weight issues could complicate the matchup: “It’s risky for the UFC to count on him making the flyweight limit right now. And it might not be the safest move for Figueiredo himself to try and cut down to that weight.”
The two fighters first met back in July 2019 at UFC 240: Holloway vs. Edgar. On that occasion, Figueiredo secured a victory via decision.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the chance to see if this rematch becomes a reality and whether Pantoja can turn the tables in their rivalry.
